RICKY MARTIN: 'I WISH I COULD COME OUT AGAIN'
For Ricky Martin, once was not enough.
The "Livin' la Vida Loca" singer, 42, said this week that he wished he could come out again. While he achieved worldwide fame 15 years ago with hits such as 2000's "She Bangs" and 1999's "She's All I Ever Had," Martin didn't officially come out as a gay man until 2010.
Now, he is saying he wants to do it all over again.
"It felt amazing," he told radio station KIIS FM. "I wish I could come out again because that moment felt very blissful."
"It really feels amazing and then when it happens you realize all your fears were in your head," he continued. "The amount of support I received… from the media, [and] obviously my fans and my family was amazing. Unfortunately, society just pushes us to believe that our feelings are evil."
Martin, who is the father of twins Matteo and Valentino, 5, made his sexuality public on his personal website in May 2010.
"I am proud to say that I am a fortunate homosexual man," he wrote in the statement. "I am very blessed to be who I am."
