STARS ARE NOTHING LIKE US: CELEBRITY HOMES EDITION

1
They use entire bedrooms for closet space

According to Page Six, Rihanna's collection of clothes is so large that it now fills three of four bedrooms in her $39,000-a-month Manhattan pad. Apparently all the free swag adds up! No word yet on whether RiRi stores her thigh-high

stiletto boots in their own room or just a regular ol' closet.

We all know by now that stars are nothing like us: They're impossibly good-looking, famous beyond belief and possess more money than most of us combined. So it stands to reason that when it comes to their homes, celebrities are equally alien. Keep reading for 10 property-related reasons why stars are nothing like us.

They put their opulent estate on the market for $72 million

If you want to live like Celine Dion, you better be willing to dish out big bucks -- $72 million worth! That's how much the chanteuse is asking for her 5.5-acre Florida estate. According to real-estate

blog Trulia, the waterfront property features a private water park and is comprised of a main house and five smaller pavilions, including a four-bedroom guest house. Since words just don't do it justice, check out Celine's castoff for yourself! If this pad isn't good enough for her, we can't imagine what is.

They maintain a second apartment to serve solely as closet space

Leave it to Anne Hathaway to show up her fellow starlets! If you thought Rihanna's need for closet space was impressive, get a load of this: Anne reportedly maintains a second residence in

Brooklyn's Clocktower building to serve as closet space for her ever-expanding wardrobe. Because it's literally insane to keep an extra apartment just for clothes, the Oscar winner, who lives primarily in another unit with her husband, placed the 2,592-square-foot, three-bedroom walk-in closet, which features views of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Empire State Building and the Statue of Liberty, on the market for $4.5 million. We're happy to take in any couture that suddenly finds itself homeless in the real-estate shakeup.

They convert two bedrooms in their new home to serve as closet space for shoes

Well, we all knew Victoria Beckham likes shoes. We just didn't realize how deeply her love flows. Apparently, Posh's collection of footwear is so extensive that it fills not just closets but entire

rooms. According to the Daily Mail, the Beckhams recently dropped nearly $55 million on a new London pad and plan to spend another $6.8 million on renovations, including converting two rooms into shoe storage for Vic's sky-high heels. The four-story home also includes a gym, massage room, salon and secret tunnels to transport the house staff to and from the property. The Beckhams also own homes in Los Angeles, Dubai and France. Posh, indeed!

Hey, A-listers, think your mansion is cool? Well, Johnny Depp's got a private island! The superstar reportedly dropped $3.6 million on a private island in the Bahamas after falling in love with the neighborhood while shooting the "Pirates of the

Caribbean" franchise. Johnny's 45-acre Little Hall's Pond Cay features six beaches. How many beaches does your home feature?

They have as many as three guest houses on their property

When Ryan Seacrest dropped $49 million on Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi's 2.87-acre Beverly Hills estate, he became the proud new owner of not just a 9,200-square-foot main house

but also three smaller guest houses. The "American Idol" host, who reportedly rakes in around $45 million a year, is single and doesn't have kids, so he must need all that space for ... something. Excuse us while we shrink into our one-bedroom apartment in a cloud of envy.

  1. One thing about being rich and famous is the people around; you pay all their bills so they very rarely disagree with you because they want you to pick up the check.
