Unnecessary Plastic Look At The Pics Below

By and large, it seems positive self-esteem is no match for the narrow-minded ideals of beauty unleashed on the American psyche 24-7. Especially with so many black celebrities going under the knife routinely. Most of these women were attractive, talented prior to plastic surgery, which suggests that the operations aren’t necessarily to become more beautiful, but more, “other.” Of course, when you’ve got the money and the excuse that everyone else is doing it, a nip here, or tuck there, hardly seems out of the question.

Here’s a recap of some of the expensive attempts to buy self esteem from a plastic surgeon:

Vivica sizzled on-screen as the perfect girl next door beauty when Independence Day dropped back in the day. But I guess those natural good looks were no match for her diva aspirations. She’s been honest about going under the knife and doing what makes her happy in that respect without going into detail about all of the work she’s had done. In this side by side, you can definitely see some nose work, looking much thinner on the right.

Naomi became one of the original super models back in the 80′s without the need for plastic surgery. But apparently, that wasn’t enough validation for her. Looks like she done did her nose and cheeks here.

This one’s a double-header. Just look how adorable Tyra and BFF Kimora look with their round ethnic noses in the snapshot of them from their late teens. These days, both noses are looking a lot more curvy. I wonder if they got a buddy discount.

Elise Neal admitted that her breast implants was the result of long-held insecurities about her body: “I did my breast enhancement for me. But it didn’t have to do anything with acting. It had to do with being a performer. They were always hiring the girls who were more voluptuous.”

There she is at the 3rd Annual BET Awards in 2003 with her natural bitties radiating in a perfectly likable manner and then again at another awards show in 2005, taking cleavage to a whole new level.

Some says it’s empowerment, others say it’s an unnecessary risk. Kelly Rowland says she likes her body better with bigger boobs. And while many will tend to agree with her, it’s not like she wasn’t completely beautiful before tossing jugs in the picture.
